Rules

Paid placement, plainly stated. No marketing copy.

  1. 01

    1. Minimum bid

The minimum entry bid is $1. This places a listing on the board at whatever rank that amount currently buys.

  2. 02

    2. Taking an occupied slot

To take a top-3 slot — global or category — currently held by another listing, bid at least $1 more than the current holder’s amount. The full bid amount is charged.

  3. 03

    3. Raising your own bid

If you already hold a slot and want to raise your own bid, you are only charged the difference between your new bid and your current bid — not the full new amount.

  4. 04

    4. Equal bids

If two bids are equal, the earlier bid keeps the higher rank.

  5. 05

    5. No time decay

Ranks do not expire or decay over time in the current version of MarkOnTop. A rank is held until a higher bid takes it — there is no scheduled reset.

  6. 06

    6. One listing per URL

Each submitted link or handle corresponds to one listing. Submitting the same link again updates your existing bid; it does not create a duplicate listing.

  7. 07

    7. Category is fixed at submission

The category a listing is submitted under cannot be changed later. Switching categories requires submitting a new listing with a new bid.

  8. 08

    8. Removed listings

If a banner or listing is removed for violating these Rules or the Terms below, no refund is issued and no rank is restored.

  9. 09

    9. All bids are final

Once a bid is confirmed and charged, it is non-refundable, with no exceptions — this applies whether you are later outbid, your listing is removed for a violation, you simply change your mind, or your payment is confirmed but does not secure the rank you targeted because someone else’s bid was confirmed first. In every case, the charge is kept. There is no refund scenario on this platform, for any reason.

  10. 10

    10. Bidding is at your own risk

MarkOnTop sells paid placement — a rank on the board — and nothing more. It does not guarantee traffic, clicks, sales, or any other business outcome from holding a rank. Money committed to a bid can be lost entirely — whether you are outbid, or your payment is confirmed but does not secure your targeted rank due to a simultaneous competing bid — since all bids are non-refundable per Rule 9. Only bid what you are prepared to lose.

  11. 11

    11. You own your image, and you own the risk of it

The banner, link, and description you submit are entirely your responsibility — MarkOnTop does not create, endorse, verify the accuracy of, or guarantee results for any content you upload. You are paying for placement of content you supply and control; if that content underperforms, gets removed for violating these Rules, or simply doesn’t drive the outcome you hoped for, that is a risk you accepted by submitting it, not a platform failure, and it is not grounds for a refund.

Not legal advice — have a lawyer review before processing real payments.
